Belgian software developer Materialise has secured the CE Mark for its orthopedic and craniomaxillofacial 3D printing applications.
The clearance will allow the company to supply implants and guides at a larger scale than it has been able to, since surgeons won't need to write prescriptions for the devices, it said.
