A research center at the Universitätsklinikum Jena in Germany has been named for breast MR pioneer Dr. Werner Kaiser, according to the German Radiological Society (DRG).
Kaiser developed MR mammography in 1983, in partnership with Siemens Healthcare in Erlangen. He died in Bonn in December 2013.
The research center was dedicated in Kaiser's name on 19 January, and a newly installed 3-tesla Magnetom Prisma began operation.
