Dr. Marc Levesque has died, the Société Française de Radiologie (SFR) announced. He was 74 years old.
A native of Metz, he graduated from the University of Paris V with his medical degree in 1971. Levesque was an interventional vascular radiologist throughout his career, serving at the Université Paris Diderot, Paris VII, and with the Groupe Hospitalier Beaujon, Bichat, Bretonneau, Louis Mourier, and Charles Richet for many years.
Levesque specialized in imaging the gastrointestinal tract and in pediatric radiology. He authored more than 50 national and international articles, gave 130 talks, and contributed to many books, as well as teaching publications for the College of Teachers of Radiology France (CERF).
