Radiopharmaceutical provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has signed a contract with Taiwanese company Tomorrow Medical Systems (TMS).
IBA will install its ProteusOne single-room proton therapy system in Taiwan; the deal includes the delivery of the equipment as well as a long-term maintenance agreement, valued between $39 million and $45 million (30 million to 35 million euros).
The delivery of the equipment is expected to take place in 2015, and this will be the first installation of a ProteusOne system in Asia, according to IBA.
