Brachytherapy and hyperthermia therapy developer BSD Medical has signed an exclusive multimillion dollar agreement with Terumo Europe to sell its MicroThermX microwave ablation system.
Terumo Europe will have the exclusive right to market MicroThermX in 100 countries in Europe, northern Africa, and western Asia. The company sells medical devices used for tumor embolization. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo-headquartered medical device and interventional oncology company, Terumo.
BSD said the distribution agreement will enable it to benefit from Terumo Europe's marketing initiatives in Europe, its focus on interventional oncology, and its established relationships with oncology healthcare providers.
