Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)-Europe is hosting the IHE European Connectathon, a testing event for health IT systems across Europe and the Middle East, the organization said.
The Connectathon will be held at the first IHE International World Summit in Istanbul in April. It will include a testing of cross-border exchange of patient data as well as core testing among multinational vendors of health information software and hardware, according to IHE-Europe.
Connectathon 2013 will also include testing of IHE profiles such as hospital medication workflow, cross-enterprise document workflow, and the mammography image integration profile. It will be sponsored by the Turkish Medical Informatics Association, the Turkish Society of Radiology, and the Association for Medical Imaging Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies, IHE-Europe said.
