GE Healthcare has opened a new healthcare service center in Baghdad to monitor the company's equipment in Iraq.
The center will monitor and repair more than 2,000 pieces of advanced equipment, ranging from bedside ventilators to CT and MRI systems, in more than 250 public hospitals administered by Iraq's Ministry of Health.
Field service teams in Iraq now can reach GE technical experts anywhere using the company's remote virtual assist links and audiovisual systems, and can troubleshoot problems via satellite.
GE officially launched the service center in December. The center has received more than 300 customer calls since its initial opening in September 2012.
