Shimadzu has launched the first wireless flat-panel detector for use with its MobileDaRt Evolution mobile digital x-ray system in Europe.
Suitable for general radiography applications, the CXDI-70C wireless detector from Canon weighs 3.4 kg and has a field of view of 35 x 43 cm (14 x 17 inches), according to Shimadzu. It employs a cesium iodide scintillator and provides resolution of 2800 x 3408 pixels.
Current MobileDaRT users can refit their system to use CXDI-70C, and the detector can also be utilized with Shimadzu's RadSpeed DR series, according to the vendor.
