The formation of AuntMinnieEurope.com's Editorial Advisory Board has been announced, following the group's first editorial meeting held during ECR 2011 in Vienna.
The 13 advisers, who have a wide cross-section of special interests and experience levels, will help to oversee and assist in the direction of AuntMinnieEurope.com's editorial strategy, now that the website has become firmly established. There will be an annual meeting of this panel. Below is a biographical sketch for each adviser.

Dr. Miraude Adriaensen, radiologist, Atrium Medical Center Parkstad, Heerlen, the Netherlands Dr. Miraude Adriaensen has recently completed her doctoral thesis, "Imaging in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex," and officially received her doctorate on 27 April 2011. Her research was conducted at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands and promoted by Dr. Mathias Prokop, PhD, from the department of radiology. In 2008, she was the first Dutch resident in radiology to receive one of the visiting scholarships offered by the European School of Radiology, and she spent three months at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin, focusing on musculoskeletal radiology. In 2010, she received the diploma of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology. |

Dr. Corinne Balleyguier, radiologist, Institut Gustave Roussy (IGR), Villejuif, France Since 2002, Dr. Corinne Balleyguier has been chief radiologist of breast and pelvic imaging at IGR, one of Europe's leading cancer hospitals. She is editor in chief of the journal, Imagerie de la Femme, and is section editor of breast imaging at the European Journal of Radiology. She has been a scientific committee member of the French Society of Urogenital imaging since 2003, and helped organize an interventional breast workshop at ECR 2007 and 2008. She was chairman of the urogenital program at ECR 2010 and is a member of the breast subcommittee program for ECR 2012. |

Dr. Frank Berger, radiologist, Institute for Clinical Radiology, Grosshadern Clinic, University of Munich, Germany Dr. Frank Berger has been a resident in the department of clinical radiology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich since 2005. His special interests include multimodality functional imaging approaches to noninvasively monitor targeted cancer treatments in preclinical and clinical settings; noninvasive monitoring of experimental cellular therapies utilizing cell labeling techniques, reporter genes, and functional imaging approaches for characterization of cell-stroma interactions; and in vivo multimodality gene expression imaging, with special focus on optimization and application of the reporter gene technology. |

Michael Bock, PhD, medical physicist, Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ), Heidelberg, Germany Michael Bock, PhD, has worked as head of the interventional methods research group since 2000 and head of the 7-tesla whole-body MR research group since 2007, both at the DKFZ. He received the Science Award from the German Society for Medical Physics in 2010 and the Medical Technology Innovation Award from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in 2003. His main research interests are high-resolution functional and morphologic MR imaging at high fields and new technologies for interventional MRI. |

Dr. Richard FitzGerald, consultant radiologist, Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust, U.K. Dr. Richard FitzGerald was elected a council member of the U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) in 2010, and is also a member of the RCR's Faculty of Clinical Radiology Professional Support and Standards Board. He is General Medical Council Radiologist Assessor for Professional Performance Procedures, and has mentored radiologists and other doctors in difficulties over the past 14 years. He is an adviser to the British Medical Association and European Society of Radiology (ESR) on their advocacy on the medical regulatory aspects of the European Union Directive on the application of patient rights in cross-border healthcare. |

Dr. Andrea Laghi, associate professor, department of radiological sciences, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy Dr. Andrea Laghi is an associate professor of radiology at Sapienza University of Rome and director of the CT and MRI unit at Polo Pontino, Latina, a new university hospital that forms part of Sapienza. He is the chairman of the education committee and a member of the executive committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR), and is coordinator of ESGAR's CT colonography hands-on workshops. In 2005, he received the Editor's Recognition Award from Radiology. |

Dr. Leo Lawler, consultant radiologist, interventional and cross sectional imaging, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin Before returning to his homeland, Dr. Leo Lawler undertook a vascular and nonvascular interventional radiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., in 2004-2005, and was assistant professor of radiology at the Johns Hopkins University in 2006. His main interests are cardiovascular diagnostic imaging, oncologic diagnostic imaging, vascular and oncologic interventional imaging, and audit/safety. |

Dr. Steven Pans, radiologist, Leuven University Hospitals (LUH), Belgium Dr. Steven Pans has been a musculoskeletal radiologist at LUH since November 2005. He has undertaken MRI research in functional imaging of bone tumors, hematological pathology, and cartilage. He started his PhD in June 2008, focusing on advanced functional imaging in hemato-oncology (promoter: Dr. P. Demaerel), and was a panel member in the Junior Interpretation Quiz at ECR 2007. |

Dr. Anagha Parkar, radiologist, Haraldsplass Diakonale Sykehus, Bergen, Norway Dr. Anagha Parkar has been a staff radiologist at Haraldsplass Diakonale Sykehus since 2008. She was previously a staff radiologist at the Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, having trained there from 2001 to 2006. She is a former president of the ESR's Radiology Trainees Forum. Her main interests are chest, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and emergency radiology. |

Dr. Peter Rinck, PhD, visiting professor of radiology, University of Mons, Belgium Dr. Peter Rinck, PhD, is maître de conférences and visiting professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Mons-Hainaut in Belgium. From 1987 to 1994, he was a professor of radiology and MR at the University of Trondheim in Norway. Since 1982, he has been chairman of the European MR Forum, and since 2008 he has been president of the council for the Round Table Foundation. He was president of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology from 1985 to 1987 and president of its annual meetings in 1989 and 2002. He is the author of AuntMinnieEurope.com's regular Maverinck column. |

Dr. Claudia Schüller-Weidekamm, associate professor, department of radiology, Medical University of Vienna, Austria Dr. Claudia Schüller-Weidekamm is section head of functional and morphologic musculoskeletal radiology at the Medical University of Vienna. During her medical studies, she was awarded an Erasmus grant and moved from the Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany, to the Medical University of Vienna, where she finished her medical residency and training in radiology in 2006. She is an associate professor and has a master of business administration for healthcare services, and is certified for quality management. She also organizes the interdisciplinary musculoskeletal ultrasound course in Vienna. |

Dr. Isabel Vivas Perez, PhD, consultant radiologist, department of radiology, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain Dr. Isabel Vivas Perez, PhD, was a tutor of interventional radiology at the Facultad de Medicina at the Universidad de Navarra from 1998 to 2007, and has been a clinical consultant of diagnostic radiology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra since 2005. She defended her doctoral thesis, "Derivación portocava extrahepática por vía percutánea (PEPS) para la descompresión de la hipertensión portal: una alternativa al TIPS," in 2003, and has a special interest in peripheral arterial occlusive disease and lower limb CT angiography. |

Dr. Josef Vymazal, PhD, professor, department of radiology, Na Homolce Hospital, Prague Since 2008, Dr. Josef Vymazal, PhD, has been a professor of radiology at Charles University in Prague, having previously been an associate professor of neurology at the same institution. He is a board member of the Czech Society for Neuroradiology. He is also the neuro section editor for Czech Radiology and a member of the editorial board for Czech and Slovak Neurology and Neurosurgery, as well as the journal Neuroradiology. |
