The European cardiac PACS market produced revenues of $73.6 million in 2005, and is expected to grow to reach $200.5 million by 2012, according to market research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
An aging population, increased levels of obesity, and a high incidence of heart and circulatory disease are increasing the amount of cardiology studies by 20% a year, according to the San Jose, CA-based firm.
Europe's demographics will drive future growth in the continent's cardiology PACS market, Frost & Sullivan said.
