Paramed Medical Systems of Genoa, Italy, and International Electric (IECO) of Helsinki, Finland, have signed an agreement for IECO to supply Paramed with its gradient power amplifiers and related equipment for Paramed's new MRopen system.
IECO also will supply magnet power supplies, temperature control units, and through-feed filters.
Paramed's MRopen system uses a cryogen-free 0.5-tesla superconducting magnet in a U-shaped configuration to reduce claustrophobia by creating open space above a patient's head and body.
