LIVERPOOL, U.K. - It was a record-breaking season for the English Premier League football clubs, but very little attention tends to focus on how they deal with suspected injuries and organize the imaging of players.
After the UK Imaging & Oncology Congress (UKIO) session on elite sports imaging, we asked speaker Dr. Gajan Rajeswaran, a musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologist at the Fortius Clinic London, to share his experiences of imaging football injuries, particularly those of the tendon and muscle. He also speaks about a relatively new MRI technique that could change the management of some athletes.
Also, we recorded an audio podcast interview at UKIO with him about his career highlights, philosophy, and advice for aspiring MSK radiologists. Look out for this podcast in the coming weeks.
