PACS and RIS software developer Paxeramed has introduced a new PACS, the PaxeraView Ultima, at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
PaxeraView Ultima works as a local or cloud-based PACS based on a pay-per-study financial model. Its streaming technology is designed for use over low-bandwidth Internet connections.
Studies can be retrieved and viewed on an Apple iPad and iPhone using iPaxera software, and users can write and email radiology reports on these mobile devices. A new release with a dictation module will be available from Apple's iTunes App Store in early March, according to Paxeramed.
The company is also demonstrating PaxeraUp2Date, a remote system monitoring tool, at ECR in booth 31 of Expo Hall A.
