German image processing and PACS firm OR Technology has launched a new version of its dicomPACS DX-R x-ray acquisition software at this week's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.
Version 2.0 includes new adjustment options, such as automatic pixel correction for reducing image interference and improving the overall impression of the image, according to the company. Optimal contrast regulation covering the entire image also ensures improved recognition of details in soft tissue and bones.
In addition, the new version features an integrated image stitching function, ideal for creating images of a full leg or spine, the company said. Different images can be selected, aligned, and saved as a new image, and the patient data from the loaded x-ray images are added automatically.
