VIENNA - Swedish PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra of Linköping is launching a new offering called Image Central for managing nonradiology images at this week's European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
Image Central is designed to provide fast access to clinical images and video clips at any department in a healthcare enterprise. The application is designed to improve patient care by ensuring that relevant images are accessible regardless of their file format and where they were generated.
Image Central has been installed on a pilot basis at Sörmland County Council in Sweden, where it has been used successfully in a number of departments, according to Sectra. It's now being rolled out to all healthcare units in the county council's area.
