The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) has released a new report that encourages healthcare institutions to use managed services.
The report delineates a series of key performance indicators that offer the potential to measure and assess how managed services can improve the overall efficiency of European healthcare delivery, according to COCIR. It also provides a set of recommendations for European Union (EU), national, and regional key actors to encourage them to use managed services, COCIR said.
In addition, the report also emphasizes both the value and political imperative of incentivizing the adoption and diffusion of innovative and disruptive business/financial models such as managed services. COCIR said it also plans to hold a series of workshops at European and national levels that will focus on building awareness and understanding of new financial models such as managed services.
