ECR 2019 organizers reach out to medical physicists

The contribution medical physics makes to imaging will be highlighted at the ECR 2019 meeting, according to members of the meeting's physics subcommittee.

The meeting program will include 32 physics and radiation protection talks and professional development opportunities, organized through a collaboration between the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (EFOMP), the European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS), and Eurosafe Imaging.

Also, numerous medical physics scientific and educational posters will be included in the ESR's Electronic Presentation Online System (EPOS) at the meeting.

The ESR is offering a reduced registration fee for medical physicists between now and 31 October, available on the EFOMP website. Finally, under the ESR's Invest in Youth program, medical physicists under the age of 35 working on doctorates may submit an abstract by 10 October; if their abstract is accepted, they will receive free registration for the meeting and a lodging voucher.
