The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)-Europe initiative has named Jürgen Brandstätter as vendor co-chair, effective immediately.
Brandstätter has been active in IHE, serving as a board member of IHE International since 2011, co-chair of the IHE global deployment coordination committee for the last two years, and vendor co-chair of the IHE pharmacy domain since 2010. He founded CodeWerk Software Services and Development in 2002 and is also a founding board member of IHE-Austria. Brandstätter also currently consults on the Austrian Health Record Project and on the Austrian e-medication interoperability specifications.
In his new role at IHE-Europe, Brandstätter will serve a two-year term and work closely with Dr. Peter Mildenberger, who was reappointed as IHE-Europe user co-chair last year. Brandstätter succeeds Lapo Bertini, who completed his second and final year in office and will now take over the deputy vendor co-chair position, according to the organization.
