The Société Française de Radiologie (SFR) is starting the New Year with a relaunch of its flagship Journal de Radiologie, renaming it Journal de Radiologie Diagnostique et Interventionelle, and launching a monthly English version to be known as Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging.
The comprehensive English-language version will be online only, but will otherwise mirror the original, according to the Paris-based SFR.
"Every paper accepted for publication in the Journal de Radiologie Diagnostique et Interventionelle will be translated into English and published in the online-only version," SFR said.
The project aims to enhance awareness of French-language research in the wider world, while providing a high-quality platform to better serve French-speaking radiologists and promote greater visibility of their work in English, SFR said. Only the title is changing; the editorial focus will stay the same.
Beginning this month, each SFR member will receive a copy of the French-language version on paper and online, as well as a copy of the online-only version in English. The French-language version can be accessed here, while the English version can be found here and via ScienceDirect.
