The French Radiology Society (Société Française de Radiologie, SFR) is planning to host its first medicolegal imaging meeting in October. Known as Journée Francophone d'Imagerie Médico-Légale, the 14 October event will be co-sponsored by SFR and the French Society of Legal Medicine (SFML).
The SFR's GRAVIT virtual autopsy and postmortem imaging working group has prepared a program that will permit attendees to engage with key subjects in this discipline on the cutting edge of two specialties while working in collaboration with judges, police, and lawyers, as well as hearing from a very diverse group of speakers, SFR said.
Discussion topics include the following:
- Assessment of bone age in living subjects
- Child abuse and trauma and physician/radiologist responsibilities
- Gun injuries
- Overview of the medicolegal past, present, and future, both living and postmortem
Registration is reserved for physicians who are members of SFML at a cost of 70 euros, SFR said. For more information, click here.
