Dutch healthcare IT firm Forcare said it is releasing version 3.1 of ForConnect, which provides advanced image sharing and improved referral workflow functionality.
The new version allows customers to easily share not only share radiological images and reports, but also simplifies the creation of patient referrals, and the ability to share prior clinical data and access outcomes, the company said. The improved functionality in version 3.1 facilitates quick access to clinical information, speeding up the diagnostic process and improving the quality of care.
In addition, the newly introduced forNotify product in the Forcare portfolio guarantees that no images or referrals are left behind by sending email notifications to remind users that images have arrived, or that referral outcomes are available, Forcare said.
The new release facilitates easy access to radiological or clinical information that is available on the imaging network via simple query/retrieve mechanisms. Or, for images retrieved from a remote PACS while reconciling study and procedure data, ForConnect 3.1 also supports the DICOM WADO-WS protocol for safe and secure data imports from remote systems, the company said.
Forcare will showcase the release at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago 1 to 6 December, in booth #7370.
