Agfa Healthcare is introducing its Global Remote Incident Prevention (GRIP) services to provide electronic monitoring for all of the company's Impax PACS networks worldwide and linked devices from other suppliers.
The GRIP system, which can identify, stabilize, and prevent incidents before they occur, is designed to avoid unplanned downtime at healthcare facilities, according to Agfa. The first release supports Impax radiology and cardiology products, as well as some third-party devices.
GRIP offers continuous overview of all connected customer sites through each center's main PACS server and other data sources, the company said. The system and support staff is initially based at Agfa's central monitoring center in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, near the Hague, and the company plans to open other regional GRIP facilities soon.
