Canon Medical Systems will showcase its 1.5-tesla MRI scanner, Vantage Fortian, at France's national radiology meeting, the Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR 2022), when the congress kicks off in Paris on Friday.
Fortian was launched at ECR 2022 and is designed to lighten workloads and serve as a high-tech solution to optimize imaging professionals' time to provide better patient care, according to Canon.
The scanner features the following:
- Walklink, an intelligent workflow tool that guides radiographers through the patient's pathway via a ceiling camera that ensures that the patient is properly prepared, as well as Tablet UX, a mobile interface that provides the user with ongoing information
- Lightweight flexible antennas called Shape Coils that can be used for many clinical applications providing better patient comfort
- Reverse-encoding distortion correction, which reduces magnetic field distortions and improves image quality
- Iterative motion correction, which eliminates motion artifacts
