Digital manufacturing platform Shapeways signed a deal to serve as the exclusive 3D printing manufacturer for 3D imaging software developer Armor Bionics.
Under the deal, Shapeways will provide Armor Bionics with 3D-printed medical models based on patient CT and MRI studies. These personalized models are expected to be used in presurgical planning, according to Shapeways, which has facilities in the U.S. and Europe. The company said that parts are printed and expected to be delivered within 24 hours to meet medical timelines.
