Image-guided radiation therapy vendor ViewRay, cancer services provider GenesisCare, and the University of Oxford have launched a program that provides free access to radiation therapy for National Health Service (NHS) patients with localized pancreatic cancer.
The program will use ViewRay's MRIdian MRI-guided radiation therapy system to perform stereotactic ablative radiotherapy and will be offered to eligible patients at GenesisCare's Oxford center, ViewRay said.
The program is funded by the ViewRay, the GenesisCare Foundation, and the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, and it is supported by a team of clinicians from the University of Oxford, according to the firm.
