Isotope technology developer Eckert & Ziegler said it has begun commercial production of carrier-free lutetium-177.
The isotope is being produced via the company's new technology based on the irradiation of ytterbium-176 and the subsequent separation of lutetium-177 in a radiochemical facility, Eckert & Ziegler said. The first batches of material have been delivered, according to the firm.
