Preclinical imaging developer MILabs has installed its micro-CT scanner at the Julius Wolff Institute for Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal Regeneration at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
The university will use the scanner for in vivo studies of musculoskeletal regeneration, as well as to research the effects of stresses and strains on the musculoskeletal system, MILabs said. One of the objectives of the research will be to prevent osteoarthritis through better understanding of how the disease is mechanically induced.
