U.K. teleradiology firm Medica Group posted continued growth in revenue and recruitment for the first six months of 2019 (end-30 June).
Medica's unaudited results highlighted an 18.2% increase in revenue to nearly 22 million pounds (24.6 million euros), compared with 18.6 million pounds (20.8 million euros) in the same period last year. The growth included revenue increases in plain film by 4.9% to 2.1 million pounds (2.3 million euros) and in specialty exams by 54.5% to 500,000 pounds (558,000 euros).
Over this period, Medica added 28 new reporting radiologists, radiographers, and rheumatologists, increasing the total number of contracted readers to 390 as of 30 June, up from 339 on the same date last year.
