Italian ultrasound vendor Esaote appointed two senior executives at its recent shareholders' meeting in Genoa.
Franco Fontana is the company's new chief executive officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in software applied to medical imaging and healthcare IT, the company said. He has been with Esaote in a variety of capacities since 2008.
Eugenio Biglieri is the company's new chief operating officer. He joined Esaote in 1985 and has filled a range of positions, including marketing director for MRI and chief global service officer.
The directors expressed their gratitude to Karl-Heinz Lumpi for his commitment over the years to the leadership of Esaote. He will continue to provide support over the coming months to complete the latest applications planned for the MyLab 9 family, according to the company.
