Belgian software company Icometrix said it has signed a contract with a pharmaceutical firm to provide its icobrain MRI analysis software for a large multicenter study involving patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The seven-year study, which will involve approximately 1,000 MS patients from over 100 sites in 16 countries, will use icobrain to longitudinally evaluate MRI scans. The study's end points include brain volume, number and total of new and total fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery (FLAIR) lesion load, and new gadolinium-enhanced lesions, according to Icometrix.
