Agfa HealthCare has won a five-year contract from the Princes Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, U.K.
The vendor will be providing its Enterprise Imaging for Radiology software suite, including the company's vendor-neutral archive, Xero universal image viewer, and business intelligence capabilities. In addition, Agfa will include reporting and advanced clinical applications such as maximum intensity projection/multiplanar reformatting (MIP/MPR), and volume viewing on the radiologist's desktop, as well as advanced image postprocessing capabilities from advanced visualization vendor TeraRecon.
Agfa said the enterprise imaging platform has been configured to handle around 260,000 imaging studies per year, with an annual growth rate of 10%. Princess Alexandra Hospital is one of three hospitals operated by the Princess Alexandra Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Trust, which serves a population of around 350,000.
