U.K. ultrasound training developer MedaPhor has disclosed its plan to acquire Intelligent Ultrasound Limited (IUL) for up to 3.6 million pounds (4.08 million euros).
IUL is a software developer of deep learning-based ultrasound image analysis. The acquisition would provide cause for MedaPhor's current ultrasound simulator business to expand to the software market.
The purchase is expected to take place on 6 October pending passing of the resolutions at the general meeting on 5 October and also the raising of 5.5 million pounds (6.23 million euros) to finance new product development plans and working capital requirements.
