MR developer Paramed Medical Systems is highlighting research from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth, U.K., that describes the benefits of the college's experience with Paramed's MROpen upright MRI scanner.
Over a seven-month period, AECC's MRI staff found that upright scanning is helpful for patients who are claustrophobic or for whom the supine position is difficult. It can also find pathology not seen in traditional supine studies, according to the group.
