Swedish PACS vendor Sectra has implemented an education portal for the Amsterdam Center for Radiological Anatomy, part of the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam.
The portal features interactive tools to provide teachers and students with virtual representations of real bodies rendered from clinical imaging. Cases also can be shared with other portal users outside AMC and be accessed remotely by teachers and students.
All medical students at the Amsterdam University Hospital now can interact digitally with renderings of real-life medical cases to enhance their understanding and insight into anatomy.
AMC currently has about 500 existing full-body CT cases and will use the portal for its approximately 150 new cases per year.
