Philips Healthcare is showcasing its latest radiation oncology offerings at this week's European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO 2017) meeting in Vienna. The products are designed to streamline workflows and improve both the patient and clinician experience, from simulation to treatment.
In workflow advances, Philips' new RTdrive automates the treatment planning process from MR-only simulation to MR-based autocontouring and treatment planning, condensing a planning process that previously required hours or even days down to 25 minutes, Philips said. Intelligent workflow automation allows RTdrive to reduce repetitive tasks while improving consistency so that clinicians can focus their efforts on enhancing patient care.
Philips' interactive radiation treatment planning application, Pinnacle3 16, has a refreshed user interface and an improved look and feel, the company said. New features include deformable image registration incorporated into the dynamic planning module, and intensity modulated proton therapy that integrates proton photon planning into the Pinnacle3 16 Proton Planning environment, Philips said.
In addition, the latest edition of Philips' advanced visual analysis and quantification software, IntelliSpace Portal 9.0, offers treatment response tools with a streamlined workflow for follow-up and analysis in oncology cases, Philips said. The new platform provides disease state assessment and treatment response tools using CT, MR, PET/CT, and SPECT/CT data.
