Swedish medical imaging software developer SyntheticMR is pointing to a new study of its synthetic MRI technology published online April 27 in the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
In a blinded, multicenter, multireader clinical study, researchers led by Dr. Lawrence Tanenbaum of Weill Cornell Medical Center found that the MR image compilation (MAGIC) multicontrast MR software -- a customized version of SyntheticMR's SyMRI application that is licensed and marketed by GE Healthcare -- produced image quality comparable to that of conventional images. The study included a set of 1,526 images that were read by seven neuroradiologists, SyntheticMR said.
