Agfa HealthCare has secured a contract with an Irish hospital network for its Integrated Care Suite health management software.
The Saolta University Health Care Group in Galway has chosen the platform for an integrated care project between itself and Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, Northern Ireland.
The project will allow Saolta patients to go to Altnagelvin Hospital for radiotherapy treatment, instead of traveling the much longer distance to Galway University Hospitals -- thus reducing travel time from seven hours to 40 minutes, Agfa said.
