Toshiba Medical Systems has signed a managed equipment services agreement with Royal Cornwall Hospitals National Health Service (NHS) Trust in the U.K.
Toshiba said it will provide, manage, and maintain ultrasound systems in eight hospitals throughout the organization. The whole spectrum of ultrasound is covered under the agreement, including urology, fetal medicine, vascular, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, and neuro work, according to the vendor. As part of the deal, a local Toshiba engineer will provide 24-hour, seven days a week support.
