RIS/PACS vendor McKesson and the Republic of Ireland's Health Service Executive have converted the last hospital still using film in the country to digital imaging, and have added it to the Emerald Isle's national RIS/PACS network.
In addition to having been the last Irish film-based institution, Clontarf Hospital represents the 40th site and 57th hospital to be brought on to the country's National Integrated Medical Imaging System (NIMIS). All hospitals in the Republic of Ireland now have a digital imaging system, according to McKesson.
