MR Solutions chosen to complete PET/MR device

U.K.-based MR Solutions has been chosen by the Integrated Magnetic Resonance and Positron Emission Tomography in Preclinical Imaging (IMAPPI) consortium to complete a project that involves the development of a PET/MR device.

As part of phase 2 of the project, the company installed an in-line PET module with high-field MR at the Center Georges-François Leclerc-CGFL in Dijon, France, in March. The final phase will include a large-bore, high-field MR with a PET module that will be installed by the fall of this year. Both devices are designed for animal studies, according to the firm.

The IMAPPI project is supported by a French government grant managed by the French National Research Agency, MR Solutions said.
