GE Healthcare has completed installation of its Discovery IGS 740 angiography system at St George's Hospital in London.
The system is now in place at the facility's new hybrid operating suite, which will be used primarily for vascular surgery and interventional radiology procedures, but also could serve other specialties, such as major trauma or cardiac surgery.
Discovery IGS 740 is designed to deliver the power of a fixed angiography system in a mobile platform, enabling small body parts such as veins and arteries to be seen to guide surgeons and multidisciplinary teams during procedures.
