Danish-based x-ray equipment manufacturer Nordisk Røntgen Teknik (NRT) has taken an order from Iceland for its Adora DRi digital radiography (DR) system.
The purchase comes from Landspitali, Iceland's University hospital in Reykjavik and the main hospital in the country.
The Adora Dri is scheduled for operation in the hospital's Fossvogur site in the spring.
The DR device features flexible auto-positioning of both the x-ray tube and the detector to allow for procedures, such as a double-sided hip examination without patient repositioning, the firm said.
