U.K.-based MR Solutions plans to display its latest cryogen-free 3-tesla and 7-tesla preclinical MR models at the upcoming European Molecular Imaging Meeting (EMIM) in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
The scanners allow for multimodality scanning, including PET and SPECT. For SPECT imaging, the systems' four gamma camera heads and focusing collimator can be clipped on to the front of the bore of the MR scanner; the SPECT images can then be registered with the MR images. As for PET imaging, the systems' solid state detectors are incorporated in the bore of the MRI scanner, the company said.
