Ultrasound developer Fujifilm SonoSite has received the CE Mark for its iVis point-of-care ultrasound system.
Designed for emerging point-of-care settings, iViz is suitable for clinical users ranging from hospital settings to clinics in remote villages, according to the company. Fuji SonoSite said the system can perform high-resolution 2D imaging, M-Mode, and Color Velocity Doppler imaging. It's also equipped with the company's P21v phased-array 5-MHz transducer and its SonoHD2 and SonoAdapt imaging technologies.
Fuji SonoSite is also highlighting the system's IT integration capabilities; iViz can provide clinicians with access to patient vitals, online applications, and learning resources, as well as integrate with hospital IT and electronic medical record systems to obtain patient demographics and submit reports. In addition, iViz can connect with cloud services to share studies with remote providers, Fuji SonoSite said.
Other iViz features include a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen display, a wide dynamic range over a large viewing angle with high-definition color flow images, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, as well as USB, HDMI, and audio interface ports, according to the vendor.
