Swedish PACS firm Sectra has received the CE Mark for its storage, viewing, and sharing of digital pathology images for primary diagnostic use.
Sectra said the designation allows for the collaboration and sharing of oncology images between pathologists and radiologists. The digital format adds new tools for pathologists and allows samples to be sent to other pathologists for specialist consultations and enhanced diagnoses.
Sectra's digital pathology is built on the same platform as its radiology PACS.
