Fujifilm recently placed its FDR D-Evo G35i flat-panel detector at Manchester Royal Infirmary in the U.K.
The installation makes it possible for the infirmary to use its existing computed radiography (CR) rooms as digital radiography (DR) rooms. This is important because building a new DR room can be a long and expensive process, according to the facility.
Manchester Royal Infirmary is a large teaching hospital for Manchester Medical School and a specialist regional center for kidney and pancreas transplants, hematology, and sickle cell disease. Its Heart Centre is a major provider of cardiac services in the region, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology, Fuji said.
