Only months after finalizing a PACS agreement with Carestream Health France, an initiative called the French TéléSanté Centre Project (MIRC) has added eight public and private institutions to the program, according to the Groupement de Coopération Sanitaire (GCS) TéléSanté Centre.
Based in north central France, GCS TéléSanté Centre commissioned Carestream Health France to provide PACS for both public and private health facilities to store, exchange, and share medical imaging files. The first two facilities to participate in the program were Tours University Hospital and the Centre Hospitalier de Bourges. Sites in Châteauroux and Dreux are under development.
