PACS firm Sectra has signed a new, multiyear contract with Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm for a RIS and PACS package.
Under terms of the deal, Sectra will replace an earlier medical IT system it supplied to the hospital and has serviced for the past 15 years. The new agreement includes RIS and such new functions as dose monitoring, statistics tools, and advanced volume visualization, and is valued at 207 million SEK (21.8 million euros), according to Sectra.
This agreement is the first of its kind in Sweden, with the supplier assuming total responsibility for technology, administration, and service of the hospital's radiology IT systems, Sectra said.
