Image-guided therapy developer IMRIS will provide its Visius Surgical Theater with intraoperative MRI (iMRI) to Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden as part of a sale of four hybrid operating suites by Siemens Healthcare.
The sale involves both radiology and MRI systems in four hybrid operating rooms for the hospital's new imaging center, which is due to open in 2016, IMRIS said. Visius iMRI will be integrated among the hybrid operating suites and will feature a two-room suite where a diagnostic-quality MR system moves to the patient using ceiling-mounted rails, according to the vendor.
