Proton therapy developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) and Philips Healthcare have signed a global collaboration agreement aimed at providing more personalized diagnostic and therapeutic technology for cancer care.
The collaboration encompasses sales, marketing, and research and development of imaging and therapy offerings in oncology, according to the vendors.
IBA will offer Philips' diagnostic imaging products to oncology care centers, while Philips will make use of IBA's proton therapy technology within its portfolio for customers in select markets around the world, the companies said. They will also provide an integrated offering for molecular imaging centers that will combine IBA's experience in PET radioisotope production centers with Philips' imaging and diagnostics capabilities.
